Great for small groups of 2 to 8 persons, this tour is designed for avid birders who want the expertise of a quality bird guide and transportation throughout their tour but don’t mind staying in somewhat rustic accommodations on occasion. The birding on this tour will concentrate in the Caribbean lowlands and foothills, the dry Guanacaste in the NW, the Pacific foothills, lowlands, and mangroves, and the Chiriqui Highlands including the paramo. A quality bird guide and transport are included throughout the tour.

1 nt: San Jose upon arrival near airport
3 nts: La Selva area visiting the OTS Station, Braulio Carrillo NP, and La Virgen del Socoro
2 nts: Arenal area in Caribbean foothills at the base of Arenal Volcano
1 nt: Heliconia Lodge between 2 volcanoes in NW
3 nts: Villa Lapas near Carara in the Pacific lowlands
1 nt: Talari Lodge in San Isidro del Sur on Pacific slope
2 nts: Chiriqui Highland birding in Cerro de la Muerte area
1 nt: San Jose near airport before departure
